Tell us about your organization
The Convention Bureau is part of the Inspire Metz attractiveness agency, along with the Tourist Office and the Economic Development division. The agency was created at the end of 2017 to promote the attractiveness of the Eurometropolis of Metz in all its forms: residential, economic, touristic, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), student attractiveness, etc. Inspire Metz is an association with around 35 employees and is led by a president.
How long have you worked with Metz Events?
The Convention Bureau has been working with Metz Events since its creation in 2016, when the public service delegation for the management and operation of the Robert Schuman Convention Center was granted.
A major event you’ve worked on?
The flagship event is "The MIX", the first cross-border trade show dedicated to MICE and business tourism, created in collaboration. This one-of-a-kind event was held at Metz Congrès Robert Schuman on December 13 and 14, 2023. Its goal was to showcase all business tourism offerings from the Grand Est region and neighboring countries (Luxembourg, Belgium, and Germany) to professional event organizers from France and Europe.
A few words about working with the Metz Events teams?
Collaboration with Metz Events is essential for promoting the territory’s attractiveness. It always takes place in a spirit of mutual understanding and complementarity, with each party fulfilling its role but always pursuing a common goal: to promote and enhance the region and its stakeholders.
Many promotional and outreach initiatives have been carried out in this spirit of partnership since 2018 (the year the Metz Congrès Robert Schuman Center was inaugurated).
Working with the Metz Events teams has always been smooth and productive, with very professional and dedicated individuals.
Relations have always been friendly with the teams, extending beyond joint operations to include social moments outside of work (dinners, lunches, etc.).
It is this excellent relationship, shared professionalism, and motivation that have helped establish the Eurometropolis of Metz as a nationally recognized business destination, which continues to grow in prominence.
